Reclamation Collective is an expanding group of folks who identify with religious trauma and are seeking space to process, deconstruct, and reclaim! Our collective holds to the definition of religious trauma as defined by Dr. Marlene Winell, Ph.D. and founder of Journey Free, as follows: It is the condition experienced by people who are struggling with leaving an authoritarian, dogmatic religion and coping with the damage of indoctrination. We may be going through the shattering of a personally meaningful faith and/or breaking away from a controlling community and lifestyle.  You can get connected with us and consider attending our events, retreats, or support groups by following the Reclamation Collective on Instagram or Facebook!

One of the themes we have focused on is reclaiming intimacy and sexuality through various routes towards sexual liberation! So many of us have come out of communities that emphasized sexual repression and shame surrounding desire and non-traditional partnership.  We invite anyone seeking space to deconstruct some of the patriarchal and toxic monogamist expectations spoken into religious communities to join us for a conversation at the first collaboration between The Growth Arc and Reclamation Collective on Thursday, June 20th from 6:00-8:00pm.
